Do people consider Nightcore an actual genre of music?
I'm sorry, but I don't see the appeal of taking a song, speeding it up a little bit, and making the pitch slightly higher. And why do all nightcore videos have some Stock image of a random anime girl?

yes, it's a genre. a lot of people are really elitist and don't consider it one.

I see people swinging this word around, but it's never used correctly:

"e·lit·ist
əˈlēdəst,āˈlēdəst/Submit
adjective
1.
relating to or supporting the view that a society or system should be led by an elite.
"older men with an elitist attitude about music"
noun
1.
a person who believes that a society or system should be led by an elite.
"critics portray him as an out-of-touch elitist"
synonyms: aristocrat, blue blood; snob"
synonyms: snob
those aren't the only two definitions of elitist

A snob in what sense, though? And synonyms aren't the same as the words they're compared to. Just because someone doesn't agree with you, you insult them?

Also:

"a person with an exaggerated respect for high social position or wealth who seeks to associate with social superiors and dislikes people or activities regarded as lower-class."
Not gonna lie though lads, some nightcore versions are better than the original song

snob and elitist are essentially the same words in certain contexts. i call people elitists if they're elitists.
what kind of question is "a snob in what sense"
that doesn't make any sense either.

an elitist in music can be someone who finds a certain genre of music definitively and objectively better than another one. they're opinionated people basically.

Yes, they are, that's why they're synonyms, but this is not elitism. It'd be elitism if someone said "my music taste is better/that music sucks, this is clearly better". What kind of question? Exactly what it asks, how is someone that doesn't consider something a genre an elitist and/or snob? They're not saying "it sucks", just that they don't consider it that.

But saying "this isn't a genre" isn't saying something's better, they just don't consider it a genre. Really, elitism still doesn't work there, neither does snob, find a better word.

"Germ" is a better term.
All you need to do is to speed any genre up. I think mightcore was an internet thing in Japan which originated the SpeedyCake remix of Caramelldansen, which became a meme.

Thats wrong, many nightcore remixes contain more than just increased tempo

You're right.

They need an anime picture from Google as well.

Of course it's elitism
There's no way to actually classify and define genres as genres (as music is subjective) so saying that something is not a genre as an opinion, when anything can be a genre of music, is elitism.

Do people consider asset flips their own genre of games?
Hunt Down the Freeman
I really think they sound terrible and it's considered rape for my ears, but everyone has different taste, so i don't judge.
