If you would try a "real" German Dub (if you are able to understand it) like Chuunibyou, Yosuga no Sora or whatever Fairy Tail you probably would change your opinion.
i actually like the german Pokemon and Chobits dub , its just alot german dub is bad , i watched detective conan in german ( up to the point where they stopped) and its not bad but theres tons of scenes that got scensored ( since they had japanese dub on the website i was watching it on , the long episode near the end of the ger dub even had whole minutes in japanese
But the thing I have the most issues with, is not full translation. Let's take Bleach for example. Okay, I understand characters having their original names, no need to pull another 4kids tactic and change them so they could be more "western" but.... Special moves should have been translated. Most of the English voice actors can't say "R" properly, and when they announce some special power, it just sounds wrong to me.
didnt naruto directly translate mangekyou in german ? (kaleidoskop) not sure , think i heard something like that
