Too scared for horror games/movies

Can't play horror games or watch movies, Like I really can't, if I force myself to watch one I will stay scared for weeks, I managed to play a horror game called the evil within, with invisiblity and infinite ammo cheats, and I played it in the morning, still scared from it, is any of you like me or Am I the only one ? XD

I can't handle jump scares, but everything else is fine.

I can't handle horror as well. I got Dead Space 2 for free 3/4 years ago and I still haven't downloaded it.

I have yet to start playing RE7, which I bought about two months ago.
Although, I dunno if I'm nervous about getting spooked, or dreading getting addicted to another game...

Just watch some cheasy old Horror films. For example, Alien. Alien used to be an incredibly scary film but now it's just "Oh my God will the cat live?"

I remember watching a horror movie when I was a kid, called "the grudge" that was so scary for me that I can't even look at any google images from it, and anything resembling it, but I am glad that I am not the only scardy cat around here

God I hate The Evil Within, such a boring and drawn out game. A tip for that, just watch more and play more, you'll become less scared. Horror games and movies are great.

im good on everything aside from psychological horror and stuff that feels realistic


the stuff that really spooks me is the type of unknown weird ♥♥♥♥ you find on channels like reignbot and scare theater that make content exploring this stuff

Personally, it's my favorite genre for movies. I'm kinda indifferent for horror games. Some are cool but a lot are kinda boring...

Just expose yourself to more horror games and films
Try watching less horror films or playing less horror games and gradually increase the 'horror level' by finding games/films that has higher 'horror level' than your previouse ones

They don't scare me but they definitely make me nervous and annoyed when they push me to constantly make fast decisions, but never are genuine fear to be honest. When I was younger yeah, I'd get It a lot - but I haven't in a while.

Most scary games or movies are 'meh' just to me but the last movie that actually gave me the willies is Vanishing on the 7th Street, which most people find boring. maybe the fact that it was based on a true story (whole village folk vanished with only the word 'croaton' embedded on some wall was found) and seeing the hopelessness of the characters got me. As to horror games, i think of everything as a bunch of scripts made to be spooky :/
