i figured out why blood in movies looks soo fake.

its because blood is in allll shades of red.

had a nose bleed a two months ago, turns out i had been blowing it too hard and the skin is so thin between a blood vessel the airway passage, it wasn't used to it and opened up a little. anyway after 2 hours of bleeding and naturally closing it up and allow it to pool and cover the opening, the blood clotted, dark red blood with hints of light red blood no less in a large glob came out in a piece of tissue paper before it stopped bleeding . the blood in some of these series like GoT simulates close to what it looks like.

Animal blood - Alien 3. Possibily from a slaughterhouse. The stage staff said they felt sick from the smell of it all.

Animal organs - Aliens - Pig snout. Alien - Stomach of a cow or other animal for the content of the very first Alien egg. Fish or other underwater animal, guts for facehugger. Dairy products for the white android puking of Aliens.

It is usually animal blood and or guts they use for horror films. Maybe all or some. Who knows for sure?
They like to base it all on actual slaughter and torture etc of man-imals and animals. No wonder how the fantasy gets closer to the reality of films and other media the more you look at it all. The art covers, the advertising, the names, titles, drawings, ideas, history, taught and further investigations. Not forgetting video games. Ideas don't just appear out of nowhere.


Not everyone may bleed the exact same way. Blood may not bleed out the exact same way in every part of the body. Whether its a minor wound or deeper wound. Arms, hands, legs, head, etc.
How the person, people, live or lived. Diet and or other lifestyles.

They say we have a white or clear blood that you may have noticed in your childhood - fell and scraped a knee or hand. Papercut etc. But there are those that say that clear or white blood is more of a waste from eating the wrong things. Whatever it is, it is an effect.

Well, it looks fake because it is fake. Except in the case where they use actual blood, then they use pigs, as that is a fairly close match.

Quite right. If you cut yourself, the shade is more a fire engine red. If you pull it from in a blood donation, dark red.

If someone gets shot, and their insides sprayed all over a wall, there will be the lighter red. It doesn't come out in two distinct colors. It then dries and rapidly oxidizes to a dark, then a rust color.
