What is your state, territory or region known for?
Pennsylvania.

We are known for mountains, Native Americans (alot of towns are named after tribes), the USA's OG capital (Philadelphia), Amish (aka wannabe old-school Germans), steel mills, Gettysburg, wannabe rednecks, Intercourse and Blue Ball (actual town names) and Philly cheesesteaks.

and we are also strangely diverse. With two major cities (Philadelphia and Pittsburgh) and nothing but rural farmland and a few large towns between them. Our capital (Harrisburg) is extremely small to the point where many people forget that its even the capital. Kind of like how some people think New York's capital is New York City when its actually Albany. People think Pennsylvania's capital is Philadelphia).

what about u?

Too far out west.

Another hint. Our capital was featured in a vice-like documentary back in the 1990's, featuring a bunch of gang bangers who essentially created a 5yr period of white flight from the area. Our president also played a mean sax, wore ray-bans, and tended to let things fly by the wayside when he was having a good time.

The poet Robert Burns daughter is buried in my home town.

Robert Burns wrote Auld Lang Syne, which is sung around the world just minutes into January 1st.

Yea, I came back after a decade+ on the west coast and almost moved my family out, lol. It takes getting used to I guess. I'm content as long as I don't see any vehicles coming down my road, heh.

It used to be very well known for manufacturing cars / vans / vehicle parts and hats... these days, um... about the only thing my reigon is known for now is its airport and being the home of one of the top 5 largest European airlines.
