this was not a civilization made in the end of the ice age though. sure you can argue
its a civilization but not in the end of the ice ages. you see even if i'm wrong on this one
what other civilizations can you name that might of made this. where could it even be found if the other civilizations are still on land. we have alot of the sea to explore, but unless you have evidence that shows parts of atlanis and where they are found this adds nothing. i know i started the conversation and i don't mean to dodge anything, but this shows nothing of actual help to advance the fact of atlantis. you said it was a country. thats wrong, since no true border was drawn. the idea of a country is not connected to civilization. civilization is a group full of culture, unity, army, art, and other factors. the land does not apply to most of these things unless you mean the geography which is a completely different story. its best to say civilization barely was developing in the such period until hundred of years later where the ice age was out of the question

and yes i totally was wrong about something in this pile of words, but it balances out

Hey, sorry i missed you reply to me on the 15th.

Theres too much hocus pocus and campfire myth cast on and over the story of atlantis after platos description purely on the basis of it not being eye view in our time line. It was just another island and society of people who by all accounts met natures end.
We have heaps of records and evidence of other islands slipping into the sea just as we have evidence of land however premature and unsuccessful growing out of the sea.
There is to put no finer point on it, no story here whats so ever so does not warrant any hype.

Nah it was a country, but the ice age ended.

excuse me what?
no no no. the period before
the ice age had no humans
on such a level. people are stil
using little tribes and other.
some even say people weren't
around back then, which is
most reasonable in a sence.
no country was around either.
a country would have a government
a border and a united state of people.
none of this was around during such.
a leader can control a tribe, but its still
a tribe
Is there anyone who thinks the Ice Age happened but there weren't humans around during it?

Your right that "countries" didn't exist back then, but that's only because the term was created rather recently, and still doesn't have a concrete defenition. Just ask how many there are in the world now and you'll see what I mean.

If you mean there weren't civilisations, I think that is defined as a group that lives in a permenant settlement and gets its food from farming rather than nomadic foraging/hunting. I'm not an expert on when civilisation developed, but from my brief check of Wikipedia, your right that most of the places notsobad listed (puma paku and osirion) are only a few thousand years old, but Gobeki Tepe seems to be around 12k years old and if it exists, it's possible that there were other places like it. I think notsobad's origonal post was saying that after the poles shrank and sea levels rose, there could have been city-states similar to Gobeki that were flooded, which may have lead to the Atlantis myth (as well as other stories of floods from other mythologies) after being distorted through the generations.

Hey, you want to post about it,talk about it, go right ahead, i have absolutely no problems with you or anyone else discussing it. I simply put what i put because there is this invisible attachment that seems attached to the story that makes it sound attractive when any record held makes no mention of this being of wonder.

The only interesting thing is where if it exists, exactly was/is it which considering the time past already and how earth shifts even under water, is some really big task we may never find out bar an accidental find while on another discovery or even by treasure divers.
