Can steam from cooking affect my pc's performance?
I know that this question is dumb...but I am wondering can it do it?Althought I have an absorber and I cook ''light'' meals.I live in a small apartment and my pc is close to my kichen...

Thanks for your time

Steam? no.
Smoke? yes.

Steam would be water vapour. Unless you are running a steam engine in there, not too much to worry about.

But the major problem will be the oily gunk that would pile up nearby unless regularly cleaned. You definitely don't want that inside your computer.
You should probably move your pc somewhere else than getting it near on the kitchen.
Well, the distance between my pc and kitchen is 5 meters
Steam itself isn't a very good conductor. That said, it's probably best to move your computer a bit further away from any area where you'd be cooking.

If it's just a small bowl or something nearby, you should be fine. If you put that bowl next to the PC's intake fans, yeah, probably not a good idea...

5 meters is good I think. Like you said you got an absorber so I don't think it'll affect your pc that far.

like i said, just make sure you're PC is taking in too much directly.
yeah it can over long period of time

same sticky sticky esidue you have build up on walls and stuff around kitchen over some time, can happen to your computer.
Get a Mosquito net and put it before the kitchen door like a curtain. You will have to wash or replace it regularly, but it will filter out some of the fat that could otherwise be in the air. But frankly, as long as you ventilate (either through widows or through airvents) I wouldn't worry unless your room smells like a deep fryer.

Nothing to worry about.
Yes! One of my friend bought a new PC and kept it in the kitchen. I visited a year later and that brand new PC looked like was 10 years old and the motherboard died after 3 years lol.
Well,Iam studying away from my mother town..so the hosuse I live in is pretty small...so I can't move it further
