I just hope they don't ruin Half-Life or Portal movie. But since we're talking about video game movies, I doubt it.

I'm trying to recall if there ever were decent ones that their storylines were based on video games, too.

Video games are comic book material. Action sci-fi are all the hype. I'm not sure how you can ruin a movie but I would say squeezing every stupid scene where it's fast paced from one thing to the next like the last Transformers movie would be one of them. But if you watch that movie with a comic book perspective it can make sense. However that's not the problem. The problem is what they turned the Transformers themselves into. I'd say they do like Spiderman and go back to the original Transformers then G1 can live in infamy. Same thing for gi Joe. That's gonna be a mess when they join the autobots. That's gonna be so dumb. And talking about dumb. Doom the movie. I can't get that movie out of my head. That Doom movie has haunted me and tormented me for years.
