It's an algorithm that's designed to sort data in the most inefficient way possible.

Say if you have the numbers:
6, 3, 0, 4, 1, 8, 2, 5, 9, 7
And you want them to be ordered from least to greatest.

What the algorithm does is place the data in a completely random order, check if it's in the correct order, and if it isn't, then it will do it again until it is.

Who would design such a redundant thing.

Laser Discs were pretty lame. I remember folks buying in and then it flopped.

You hush. Laser Disks were AWESOME!

I have a collection!

Most useless tech...

Hmmm

Amstrad E-mailer comes to mind. A wired phone to check e-mail, through premium rate dial up services.

It was an e-mail porn line phone.

Anything that is a product of deliberate shoddy craftsmanship made to earn a quick buck.

Hyperscan is slightly worse, if only because it's an actual console and not something that you can get at a grocery store for 99 cents.
