How come there's a war on cigarettes but not cigars?

They've been putting Surgeon General warnings on the cigarette cartons for decades and warning people not to smoke and how it gives you cancer and all this stuff. However, there are no commercials or anything against cigars. Why is this?

I don't smoke either. But it might be a matter of price. Cigarettes are far cheaper than cigars, therefore more people are smoking them. It's easier and cheaper to target those people instead of people who smoke cigars or smoke both.

Cigars probably don't have a bunch of random toxins in there that could kill you, as many that is.

Cigars present same risks normal cigarettes do, especially because cigars dont have filter to protect you.

You don't inhale when smoking cigars. Instead you just puff on the cigar for the flavor. The worst you get is an increased chance of mouth cancer. So it ends up being less harmful then smoking cigarettes.

Yeah, I was thinking of that earlier today. The difference is cigars aren't supposed to be inhaled.

Nah cigaretts are more common more accessable and lets face it cost less for the public then cigarr... its not that often you se some one smoking cigarr other then on new year eve.
