Virtual Audio Cable in Real with Hardware

Hello, can I just buy a 3,5mm cable and put it in Mic and Output Connectors at my PC? Will it work and have the same Effect as Virtual Audio Cable? I know it is free, but I dont want to downlaod it

It'll work. That said, your system may already have such a feature - just look for Stereo Mix in the list of available recording devices.

Thank you for your answer. My X470 MSI Board does support Realtek Drivers, and this brought me Stereomix, but Stereomix isnt like Virtual Audio Cable, it just sends everything that gets played through it. With (Virtual) Audio Cable you can have an extra playback for specific Sounds, and use these specific sounds

I'm pretty sure a bit of copper wire won't do anything like that either, so... give the demo version a try to see if it actually does what you want first?

There is a free alternative of it, and I've already tried it on my other PC, but I dont want to use so muc software.

So therotically it should work, why shouldn't it work practically?
