Ah, I see but I was thinking in a more personal way though

Anything created purely for the sake of expression, or crafted for the sake of expression along with another purpose.

What kind of art would you use to express yourself?

I dont know how to define something as art or not.

I used to always think of art as something like drawing a life-like picture. Something that takes an extraordinary amount of ability or talent. I still hold that view to an extent but I am able to see why some people would call certain things that are very simplistic and requiring very little talent to create as art.

For example, someone at a art exhibition puts a pair of glasses on the floor and calls it art. I would think it's dumb but at the same time, there is a level of creativity and expression there. Even if I don't understand it or dislike it, who am I to say it is or isn't art.

One more thing, if someone can find me the genre of this music and where can I find similiar stuff will be awarded an additional song, if you want to.

I guess it boils down to taste then...

Wouldn't that make a lot of commercial art "not art"?

I think anything can be art as long as someone else views it as art(ful), but that's sort of a non-answer.

What is art is subjective, as for the art I like, surrealism.

agree
although imo, you don't know true art until you see something that brings you to tears or makes you feel something deep down inside yourself that awakened.

That being said, some art is art to some but not to others
which is sorta why modern art is a thing
squiggly lines and basic paintings like going back to the basics, but once they sell for $$$$$ of mulah then yeah ♥♥♥♥ that lol it becomes more a scam than art itself.

That's the other thing too art is supposed to be with the idea of bringing out beauty in something not for the $$$$ dinero. If that is the main intention then i don't really consider it art as much as it's just a chore. Not to say artists shouldn't be compensated for it but i mean if you...how do i put it... the artist should have the art in mind not the money first.

I don't mind if an artist wants to make some money of a painting or other type of art. Some people just love that kind of stuff because they can see something that intrigues them to buy it. But as I said b4, it boils down to taste.
Such things as quick draws are very popular in Serbia.
