No it's not ever worth buying anything from Apple, period.
Samsung and LG are WAY better. But that depends on the actual model.
However Samsung clogs up nearly half the phones memory with bloatware junk; LG however doesn't pull that non-sense.
A phone is not worth $1000.
How can Apple be one of the most profitable and richest companies in the world while only selling smartphones and a few computers? Make everyone pay a 50%+ premium on all your products. They build these phones for maybe $400 then sell them for $1000 because people are stupid enough to drop that much a phone.

Please do your research before your spout out claims like that, Iphones have almost always beaten Androids on AnTuTu, which is like the most used bench for testing phones. Geekbench scores of Snapdragons are lower than Apple chips too, couple that with a less bloated OS and you get a snappier phone. Your phone having more RAM means little to nothing when the OS makes use of more RAM than iOS.
I personally use Androids, but your comparison of phone to computer is also terrible. You can't compare a desktop computer to a phone... they are different devices for different purposes. That's like comparing a mountain bike to an Allroad wagon.
Yes and as a result, Samsung is doing the same; look at the S9 pricing.
It's never worth it to make the switch to that iOS crap.
That's like making yourself move to some other country where you know nothing about it, or how to speak the language. Nothing Apple offers, is really worth their pricing. Most of their tech is always 3 steps behind others but still costs way more. Apple is easily years behind the curve without Steve Jobs around
I'd say if you're looking for a phone just get what you want. If it works for you, and you don't mind paying for it, why does it matter?
Even in these years the iPhone still can't reach the Samsung Galaxy.. 7, just putting an example. In specs, yes, it may have that thing called Face iD. but it can't be compared to the camera or the battery duration of the Samsung.
For me, Apple put that expensive price (aside of wanting to get back what they paid for the parts) just by the fact that is iPhone, the phone that all the people want.
Not really. Steve Jobs sold a $350 GPU for $1000 with a different BIOS. Apple's chips are actually faster than Qualcomms when it comes to processing power, so they're not really behind. Almost never been. It's been like that for the past 3 gens or so.
As to the OS itself, people are fine with it. I prefer Androids, that's it. But if somebody prefers Iphone, I'm not going to ditch on that person just because he or she uses an Iphone. I have benchmarked phones in past and I understand their capabilities.
Only thing I can give Apple credit for is that OSX software works really well with the hardware it is build for (Yet it will not run on anything else :'P). Much better then MS Windows (Kinda hard to if you are trying to make it run on everything). But that is not worth the premium.
huh? iPhone shells have been full alloy for quite some time now.
BTW you WANT much plastic inside your phone in various areas; so it can flex during drops.
If such devices can't flex, they crack MUCH easier.
This thread is about phones.
Why are we jumping over to that non-sense? We're talking about PHONES
Seriously, who in the board-room thought that was a good idea; they should be fired because that was one of the dumbest things to ever do to a phone.
