Was listening to the postgame show. They were taking calls and the person on the other end cut out for a minute. Then they came back and were in the middle of screaming about firing everyone on the team while barely managing to put cohesive sentences together.

You had to be listening to grasp how hilarious it was. Just a stereotypical Toronto sports fan.

really hard not to see s2 thorfinn and artorias as having gordon freeman's beard. hard not to think about thorfinn having that beard purely because someone has to.

really really hard not to laugh at kingbot re-enacting the parts of shakespeare meant to confront him with his moral failings, while having two puppets that resemble him talk to eachother about how they need to be better than everyone.

I can't even see past this to engage with the series' ultranationalist propaganda; I just see kingbot in the bathtub again, trying to imagine what purgatory or guilt must be like.

Also thinking about the tub scene in the first episode of samurai champloo. Was that some kind of elaborate reference? Why does Japan associate Kingbot's 'Purgatory' concept with the bathtub . . . ?

like the swords to plowshares theme relies on thorfinn deleting his own brain, as if he put on the magnetic crown.

it takes the entire first season and compares it to a crown so tight it clinches your brain off.

presumably for the same reasons it relied on negative infrance and rejection aversion to push its propaganda in the first season.
