It disables by default once you install another anti virus software.
You can’t by default, you can however use a anti-virus program.
PowerShell is powerful.

Windows defender was originally created by Microsoft, not as a full anti-virus scanner, but rather as a certain virus defination removal tool.

You see certain people think they didn't need anti-virus software.

A few hundred thousand PCs where infected by hidden BotNET trojans. These could be used by hackers to DDoS, Spam, or bounce hack attacks off, as it turns the PC into a zombie for them to remote access. The owners of these PC where completely blind towards this activity, yet it was getting so bad that it was even attacking government and the Microsoft servers themselves.

Forcing Windows Defender, meant Microsoft could throw in the latest major spreading trojan and kill it off from becoming a global threat. They have taken down massive BotNETs this way.

If you installed a real anti-virus scanner, it's disabled or can be optional turned on to "periodic" scanning.

You can disable it permanently, using Group Policy and the Registry. Google it and you should find it.

***A word of warning***

Messing about in the registry if you don't know what you're doing can mean a full reinstall of Windows. Just be aware of that before you start Googling.
Why do that just go through services.
Start>Control panel>System And Security>Administrative tools>Services
Scroll all the way down to find windows defender and then double click it and in the drop down box on the general tab click disable. Then click stop. Then click apply and then ok.

Windows Defender shouldn't be annoying you anyways, unless you are infected.

Double check by uploading the so-called infected file(s) to: VirusTotal.com

Only hackers, malware creators, and pirated software users who follow the installation instructions to disable their anti-virus while installing/running the questionable rootkit EXE into their system, would need to disable it.

You need a Windows Attacker to get rid of a Windows Defender. May the strongest one win!

thought the same , will probably get a virus to block MS store since it cant be uninstalled

I think it depends on what version of Windows 10 you have, when I first installed it that option was not available so using GP and the Registry was my only option. I'm on the home version btw which at the time wasn't available.
Spydows 10 the windows you love to hate. I still use 7 and i always turn that off along with about 20 other sevices in windows 7. I only have 14 processes running on windows 7. Soon to be 10 if i turn more stuff off.

What is the mod(s) or filename it's detecting as suspicious behaviour?

What is the mod(s) or filename it's detecting as suspicious behaviour?

the chunk deleter , the guide on the forums says some anti virus falsely detect it , and well windows doesnt ask its only admin to remove it , it just removes it instantly , but i didnt even have it open , and my file wasnt freshly modded either today

Do you have a link for it?

If it's a false positive, I can inform most virus databases.
