I don't get the hate on female characters in games
BF:V for example, a lot of people are crying and complaining over how there's a "cyborg" (actually a prosthetic that was used during ww2) women in it. Then there was also CoD:WW2 with it's playable female characters

And no I'm not a "SJW" or any of that crap, I'm just a gamer looking for games to play, and i honestly do not get it when people argue about stuff like this

funnily enough i complain about "forced" female main characters in movies sometimes, but never when they're in games

Meh.

If you make a game that tells about a histrorical event, make it accurate.
Ofc I know nothing about the game, so maybe having such characters will make at least some sense, but generally historical accuracy HAS TO come before political correctness.

EDIT:clarification, I don't hate female characters anywhere, but I dislike such if they are "forced" and therefore feel like they don't fit in. But that applies to any character.

I only dislike some of the armor models for female characters in games like WoW. I get a piece of armor and instead of protecting my whole body it appears as just a bra, yet a male character has the same armor and it actually protects him.

its annoying and just made to appeal to male eyes.

The female Ghostbusters is an example of something horrible.

Name me a single Battlefield that was historical accurate in Multiplayer.
You can't.

I don't understand the hate aswell and a lot of the controversy is about female characters, some can actually give decent arguments, but the majority from what i've read does actually just call SJW on this one.

They brought you the war stories in BF1, it won't be different here. And it probably involves strong personalities or interesting stories. But the MP in BF1 was nowhere near historical accurate. You can't make it that way, otherwise your lovely vehicles would drive SO SLOW you would end up spending tons of time driving from A to B. Your weapons would end up BEING BAD, no SMGs, balancing out of control and much much worse things.

It really is a case by case thing. I personally just hate one-dimensional characters. And it's about 50/50 there.

It’s only hated when it ♥♥♥♥♥ with historical accuracy

There can be female characters in a WW2 game but they can’t be in the army, put them in a resistance or better yet have them be a spy or something

But having a female soldier lead a squad onto the beaches of Normandy is something that never happened

They can be in the Soviet army for sure.

Bf5 is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess in general so I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they did

I couldn’t even tell what was going on in the trailer and I didn’t even realize it was supposed to be WWII until I saw the Iron cross on a crashed fighter

But it hasn't told anything yet because the Singleplayer wasn't revealed yet. The story is in the Singleplayer, not in the Multiplayer.

I don’t think they were ever deployed, I could be wrong though

There was a cartoon going around some years ago that was a female character in an outfit like you described. She had three arrows sticking out of her chest, and a caption that reads 'I am starting to question my choice of attire.'

I thought it summed up female characters in video games well.
