Hello everyone! What do you have to say about the rise of popularity when it comes to the battle royale genre? Do you play Fortnite or PUBG? Let's discuss.

Fortnite and Pubg are so similar,but different.
I accept your opinion,but i think is a good game after all,nothing like a GTA or triple A titles,i just like playing it.

Not personally interested in it, never really have been interested in games that feature free for all gambles where you start with nothing and hopefully drop in an area filled with guns and pick up something before you die.

Already played a game mode like that back when I had Battlefield 3 and their Aftermath expansion dropped.

The main draw is the looting time and battles creates a sense of value to your current loot and character, thus having higher stakes than a traditional fps with each encounter, while not going full dayz and requiring players to put in constant time to maintain things as survival games do.

That and the cars, its established that gamers love long car trips, and hiking

Not really, well for me
Usally play Fortnite mobile over PUBG mobile cuz I just love the gameplay of Fortnite more than PUBG

The gamemode is literally for casuals. Not saying thats a bad thing but there is way too many luck factors into the game.

I actually agree with you. The RNG and luck factors make the game more casual, and I don't see how the genre could be considered competitive because of all of the unknown factors involved.

I would be really excited about the new Black Ops if they weren't moving towards the battle royale genre. They are introducing battle royale, and they are eliminating the single player campaign. I'm sorry, but single player games aren't dead. The new God of War was amazing, and it is definitely my pick for game of the year. I would rather see them focus on zombies and the core multiplayer rather than battle royale. Activision just wants a slice of the cash cow that is this new fad. Fortnite completely relies on people spending all their money on useless skins

Yeah, I really love spending 20 minutes gearing up and running to the circle on the map just to get sniped as soon as I get there. Fortnite and PUBG should just introduce a gamemode where everyone just runs from the storm until they die of boredom.
