Remember loot boxes?
Oh wait, you actually thought Battlefront 2 is one of the best games despite the greedy business practices.
Bah, it's hard to take you seriously if you're really supporting these practices that ruins the modern video game industry.
Well heres some (more?) stoneshard (Open World Roguelike RPG)
"Stoneshard is a turn-based RPG inspired by old school roguelikes such as ADOM, Nethack and Angband. The game blends classic roguelike gameplay with fresh mechanics established by modern titles like The Banner Saga and Darkest Dungeon. It includes procedurally-generated open world, survival elements and an elaborate follower system."

"Valeguard is a unique strategy game that combines Turn-Based City-Building with Real-Time Combat. Each day you construct your defenses, train troops, and prepare for attack. When enemies come in the night, you defend with towers, troops, and heroes with powerful abilities. Save as many towns as you can, while you travel through the Vale. Choose wisely, because each town unlocks unique assets and a hero to aid in future battles. Defeat is not the end in Valeguard. Each play you can unlock more heroes and discover new strategies to achieve victory."

"Machiavillain is an evil mansion management and strategy game, inspired by Dungeon Keeper, Prison Architect and all the horror movie clichés! Build your own manor, raise your monsters, set up your traps, and exterminate your victims. But to gain reputation you'll have to slay by the horror movie rules!"
"Graveyard Keeper gameplay from this hilarious Stardew Valley-style RPG where you manage a cemetary "
I don't see many games where you run a graveyard?

Raft is a 3d indie game where start on a small raft in the ocean and throw a hook. You collect items you hook to build your raft bigger and bigger. You can encounter things like sharks, other rafts, ect. May have multiplayer.

"Welcome to Smoke and Sacrifice. Smoke and Sacrifice is an open-world, narrative-driven RPG, where exploiting living ecosystems is the key to your survival. Craft, fight, survive and explore the huge open world in this beautifully hand-painted, gothic adventure where every character has their tale to tell."
It must be good letsplayers have kept playing it.
Probably the games I'd most want in this thread is moonlighter, raft, the wizard one
