So I saw a video of little big planet 2 and I remembered playing it years ago, and Im just wandering, is it dead or are people still on it, because most vids about it being dead make no sense what so ever.

You can play the player made levels from LBP2 in LBP3 so if that's what you want get LBP3. Most PS3 games are dead online now. I tried to play Killzone 3 online recently and i think i was the only person in the world playing.

LBP3 pretty much killed the franchise.

The IP for this game was given to a new team of developers who left it in a slow, buggy, unoptimized state for an entire year, while at the same time putting their main focus on adding new DLC.

Fortunately though, the original developers, MediaMolecule, are creating a new game for the PS4 called "Dreams", which can basically be summed up as LBP but 3D.
It's supposed to have immensely more freedom of customization to the point where you can model and animate your own characters.

True. I had LBP3 on PS3 and it was a buggy mess, so many glitches and the story mode was really bad you hardly used the new characters at all and the co-op was laggy as hell. The most fun part was playing the community levels.
it's a bit better on PS4 but not nearly as good as the other games.

Damn, and LBP already let you make any character you could imagine if you had the ingenuity for it. Can't imagine how they'd top that.

Used to play it on PS3. It was the first PS3 game I played when I online back in 2011 when I first got my PS3. Dc universe online was another game I played back when I had my PS3. I play that on my PC now.

Sadly i got rid of my consoles and only play pc.... Still, PC master race

I loved LBP1 when it first came out. I remember having good times playing it every day after school, but eventually I got burned out from playing it too much, and the quality of the community and other player-made levels declined pretty quickly after the first few months.

I also got LBP2 and 3, but I never got into them much. LBP2 actually made a lot of good expansions to the mechanics in LBP1 and felt a lot more polished, but it was a bit overwhelming for me at the time, and the community never got better.

LBP3 was like someone said earlier, an unfinished mess, so I never got around to even finishing the story mode in that one.

I used to love that game. But then it fell to cheaters and exploiters and copy/pasting the same levels none stop and ruining the featured levels page.

then LBP3 came out with no multiplayer online drop in, killed the game because it sucked so badly.

not heard anything on LBP4 sadly.

I would say LBP2 is pretty much dead, doubt anyone is making levels for it anymore, its just a plethora of children copying and pasting bomb survivals and mortal kombat trash now.

Yeah thats why i didnt play LBP3 much, they didnt add dive in feature, and then after i got rid of my PS3 and PS4, it was added
