Oh I see "its facts" you say? Saying "its facts" doesn't actually make something a fact, so surely you've got some actual "facts?"
The same self said elite gamers are thoses who make most online games by harassing or being vulgar with thoses not having thei rlast skin or their "skillz".
I am a gamer since years, yes i buy dlcs ( for crusader kings 2 for exemple) but have a rash when i see the comments of gamergates elites.
You dont like skins and loot boxes, right dont buy them
You dont like newbies, help them to improve, dont bash them.
YOu dont like girls or minorities in gaming , become a monk .
I dont have a problem with Casuals i have a problem with self said gaming elites.
They are the first to make gaming toxic
oh and yea, that market is FULL of casuals.
Theres a reason there was no storyline DLC for GTA V, and thats because its simply not lucrative enough to give players something they buy once and can enjoy forever.
Theres a reason so much companies have been focussing their game and updates to revolve around ''whales'' (casuals with money) because they are not just customers who paid 60$ for the game upfront, but also those who will spend another 500$ or more on in game lootboxes or currency so they dont have to grind to get what they want, or just to get that one hyperexclusive skin that noone else will look at.
Appeasing to gamers, wether it are hard core gamers or casuals who dont have money isnt profitable anymore, not by a long stretch, appeasing to those who are so weakminded that theyd pay a 1000$ to get a new paint on their weapon however is big business these days.
And games get adapted to that, people will deny that every time, but its very obvious games will make their grind as boring, or in GTA's case, as cancerous as possible. so people will throw their money at them because they cant be arsed to play the game.
meanwhile those who just want fun new content or a storyline expansion get shown the door.
Sure, what you "think" does not equal "its facts" kid.
How much money versus how much time you spend in a game doesn't really matter. If you play and support games with microtransactions then according to your logic, you're part of the problem.
It's when someone who has a ton more hours and refined skills in a game such as CSGO or any typical MMO who puts you down for having fun, the whole concept isn't really universal though, everyone is different and reacts differently so pros and casuals can both be as bad.
