Can't upload images onto a discord server.

Ok, so I have this problem where I can't upload an image to discord. I can upload the images in chrome version of discord but in the application version. Attach files permission is on for the channels and drag and drop is also working, it is just the button to attach files not working, is there a way to fix this?

maybe the app needs an update if the web browser version works.
