I want an autograph on a CD. Is it okay for it to be on the disk its self or does it need to be on the case?
I just learned about a Comic Con happening where I live this weekend (I'm always the last person to know about these things), and am thinking of going. If I do, I'll probably also pay for an autograph from one of the guests. I have the perfect thing for them to sign (an old and obscure game that was one of their first roles), but this is my first time doing anything like this and I want to know if anyone else has any advice. I've looked it up a bit and it seems that they will often wear off if put on a CD case, but I haven't found any pictures of anyone getting autographs directly on CD's. Is there a reason for this? Pen not showing up? Somehow damage to the other (data) side?

Best way: Take the cover out of the cd case, get the autograph on the cover, put the cover back in the cd case.

It will be fine, I have a lot of burned CD's which have written on the face of them permanent marker to label them.

Yeah, but I got it used and it didn't come with a front cover (which for whatever reason isn't uncommon with segaCD and Saturn games).

Do pens have any trouble with pressed CD's?

Just make sure it is NOT a ball point pen, or pencil. Sharpie would work the best. Take one with you just in case.

Just get a permanent marker.
even if eventually it wont play, the autograph is more important

Maybe, but I don't like to have anything if I can't use it (even if the game is so bad I only play it once in a while just for a laugh).
