How to convince my parents to let me play online.
Unlike like other post similar to this I’m allowed to play CS just not online. I do play online behind their back but is becoming harder as I’m home alone less and when I am it’s only for like and hour so I barely have anytime to warm up for a comp. game and play a game. They also know like nothing about the game so they wouldn’t know I play online except our internet sucks (12 ping, 7 mbs up. 1 mbs down) so if we are both online doing something to slows the internet drastically. Also my PC is in my basement and I can’t have it in my room and the stair are right next to their bedroom with a motion sensor. So I’m SOL and playing with bots haze become so boring as I have like 300+ hours with just bots alone.

They think everyone online is out to get me so I need some points to help sway thier thinking.

Thanks.

EDIT: I turn 16 in June and was allowed to play online on xbox when I was like 10 and was allowed to use mic/chat but now I can't

Not sure if bait or not but if its true then Jesus christ man how old are you? But on a serious note, hmm maybe start a few rows and they will eventually get used to it lol.
If they'll be home just go on and play, if they'll notice just let it end up with some shouting try to tell them that you're not a kid, wanna have access to the world and they cant forbid you everything all your friends play online blahblahblah etc, and eventually they'll maybe get used to it and stop.

They will probably just take it as a teenager's rebellion or something anyway.

Tbh man, ur parents are kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up

I'm homeschooled so my time away from them is limited and I have like no friends (in general) that play CS so its not like I can go to their house and play.

I added my age at the bottom but that's the tip of the iceberg for what I'm not allowed to do...no social media (any whatsoever) no reddit, youtube or safari on my phone (even though I've disable restrictions so I have those) and I can't even sleep with my phone or have it in my room.

....my question, is why do they have a motion sensor on the stairs? Have they had issues with your discipline regarding these games?

I feel like there's a lot of background with your characteristic behaviour that you're omitting that would shed light on this odd display of parenting.

This is something you should talk with your parents about.

You should just tell your parents about your new game instead of hiding it because that will make it more suspicious when they find out you are playing a shooting game every day by yourself.

If your parents has set up the router for wifi they might as well know how to check when the wifi is used. You can literally call your internet isp /provider and they'll show you a chart of when the wifi is most used such as 1 pm - 100mb used, 2pm 5mb used. I can check it myself as well.

This has to be bait. Unless they're 70 years old and too stubborn to evolve with the times, no parent in this day and age can deny the influence and benefits of the internet. Them having a "motion sensor" just to catch you is overkill in the story...

Good read though. 10/10

Also this has nothing to do with CS:GO. This is not even game related. Talk to your parents, not a discussion forum for the game.

It's mainly for if we get robbed (we have had murders come down our driveway before trying to hide out). I'd say I'm a pretty average kid and havent done any serious rebelling but like I said its not for me but for robbers.

the motion sensor is probably one they have hooked up for a security system. my grandparents have one in their living room, kitchen, and basement. if someone breaks in and sets off the motion sensor, the alarm trips. its not that uncommon

Perhaps and I stand corrected there, however OP doesn't need OUR help. Plus, it raises questions why they won't let him play online but let him come on the PC to post this to people?
