I really want my little purple friend back but I don't want him to kill my pc, is there a safe downloadwith no malware lol?

Well, technically the spyware is left pointless since the servers the spyware used to upload data to are long gone.

I used to have it like years ago and it would crash my Windows Vista PC countless times.

It's annoying as hell.

I'm not brave enough to try this.

No particular harm.

The only issue that i can see is that it would potentially use up a lot of CPU resources.

You wouldn't want to use it on your computer that has all other work.

Just a random computer considering that you have one that's lying around somewhere.
