The idea that a certain degree is "worthless" because it can't get you a job is a cancerous attitude. It shows how the job market has degraded meaning that universities have also degrading into job centers, as opposed to the academic bastions they should be.
Who uses those?
The whole point of college is to get a job (Or find a husband who has or will have a high paying job). If you want education watch youtubes and ebooks. If you have so much money, cost is not an issue, well congrats.
I ask because most degree graduates dont end up straight away in their desired career so often prop up the likes of costa coffee while trying to find a way in.
Picking a career and getting that career im afraid isnt how a labor market works. People need to pick careers in demand, suffering skill shortages otherwise how long is a piece of string.
Most are taught by people who in their time had choice in a developing world. Now days unless you super clever you wont make the fringe but instead have to be content with squeezing somewhere into the middle.
Wrong because education these days is about supplying only enough data in order to pass an exam be it degree, diploma, even school education. No longer are people taught a subject but expected instead to source that themselves which considering the subject could well be many years. A degree student already busting a 70/80 hour week studying while still having to find work for 20 hours just to pay off the incurring interest while living and sleeping inbetween does not have the time to master their choosen discipline.
Perhaps the biggest joke though is while governments drive the importance of achieving success above others, they left out the part where you all saturate such markets and drive down the wage.
