In Russia it's economist.
All economists end up in McDonald's if they are lucky. Basically it's a degree that" one can wipe their♥♥♥♥♥with", according to my friend who is an economist and gave up trying to find a job

The idea that a certain degree is "worthless" because it can't get you a job is a cancerous attitude. It shows how the job market has degraded meaning that universities have also degrading into job centers, as opposed to the academic bastions they should be.

The whole point of college is to get a job (Or find a husband who has or will have a high paying job). If you want education watch youtubes and ebooks. If you have so much money, cost is not an issue, well congrats.

Just to reiterate, my point was back in "the good old days" you could get a job with a decent-enough pay for a home of your own with just a high school diploma, now young people basically need to go to college and get into lots of student debt just to get a job to pay rent.

If you want to fix this, universities need to go back to being focused on education rather than employment, and the job market needs to be fixed. Complaining about "useless degrees" is just distracting from this issue.

Also, anyone who thinks that youtube is an equivalent to a college education is actually dumb and should not be speaking on this subject.

Theres a lot of careers you can learn via youtube and ebooks. Such as programing, art, math, business, fashion, so on. I have been to college, very little I learned there I couldn't learn on my own. Theres exceptions of course and some jobs won't allow you no matter how much you know without the piece of paper.

But we're coming to a future where more and more you can take your classes at home. My close cousins all home school their kids. And they turned out fine. Home Colleged is the next evolution.
