I dislike watching 3D movies so I don't get this problem. Unless the movie was filmed in 3D, it's just an overpriced gimmick they slap on to a 2D film and make it worse. Converting a 2D film to 3D darkens the overall graphics considerably.

My eyes will go cross-eyed if I use these glasses.

I have a stockpile of those disposable soft contact lenses and just use those if I know I'm going to see a movie or do some activity where I don't want to wear glasses. But my prescription is simple, I know that doesn't work for everyone.

Just wait until you also need reading glasses. Either you get bifocals or you're always peering over the top of your glasses to read anything. Or if you wear contacts, plain ol' reading glasses like normal sighted people. Argh.
