some can, but good luck getting one to scream. And if they do the scream it might be as loud as a normal person talking.

I can't imagine screaming for a person back when I was a mute. Though tbf talking normally to me felt like I was yelling.

If a mute could scream, then they could also talk.

If the person is (for example) deaf and does not know how to speak, they can still make sounds. Mute doesn't necessarily mean that you don't have vocal cords.

Mutes are a real thing? If talking about video games. Yeah mutes tend to even make pain noises.

i doubt it
a mute trying to scream would probably be the same as trying to scream during sleep paralysis
the most that came out would prob just be a small squeak

Are we talking about non-verbal people? Selective mutes, or people with permanent damage or malformation of the voice box? You’ll get a different answer for each of those.
