Nope, you'll know the batteries are low when you start getting phantom button presses in games.

I used mine solely for Dark Souls and when the batteries were low my character would randomly roll or when I took my thumb off the joystick my character would continue to move

It depends on if the hard-ware supports that feature.

When the mouse becomes unresponsive and would automate its functions randomly; that would indicate that its battery is draining.

You'd experience a whole range of issues.

I own one and can confirm no, it doesn't.

Logitech were and amazing brand and unfortunately people buy them and defend them believing they still are. From my recent experience they've become like Razer, trading on reputation rather than true form.

I had a Logitech G900. Operative word is had, the mouse failed because of shoddy workmanship and getting an RMA was a nightmare. It took them three weeks to respond to my first contact and then another week and a half for them to admit there was actually a problem. At which point they asked me to take up the problem with the store I'd bought it from.

In my experience with the Logitech F710, it seems that the mode light blinks if the battery's low. I noticed the mode light blinking, and when I swapped out the batteries for fresh ones, the blinking stopped.

Apologies for the necrobump, but I figured I'd toss my two cents in.

I can confirm, that green light blinking next to mode button is low battery indicator. When I changed them it stopped.
