From pokemon crystal version. So it knows extreme speed.
Gengar
Chandelure
Gourgeist
Golurk
Aegislash
Volcarona
Mega Metagross
Dragonite
Gyrados
Garchomp
All of these (aside from Gyrados and Garchomp) are Pokemon I've used competitively and have had great success with.
If I were to go back onto X/OR/S I would probably adjust this a lot, but I forgot a lot of my teams (it's been a long time) and I mainly ran legendaries endgame so this is hard
Believe it or not I beat one of my irl friends hacked legendary team with it by confusing his entire party and spamming.
It was glorious
Status effects were nerfed badly in Sun/moon.
Doesn't make it feel any less good
It was one of the few things about S/M I actually liked
I'm not. Its a dumbing down of the game. I didn't think as much until I heard the interview as to why the battle frontier wasn't in omega ruby. And the dev said the average player aka casual quits shortly after beating the game. So it would be a waste of resources.
Which combined with the nerf and the type shower in battle (In sun/moon). Pokemon is starting to sacrifice its hardcore audience for the casual market. Instead of trying to please both.
Poke ride is kind of that too, but I think both casual and hardcore are glad HMs are dead going forward.
I really don't think that any sort of RPG (except for maybe some aRPGs) work well competitively at all, but they shouldn't remove stuff like the BF regardless.
