How to root android 5.1.1(Huawei Y6)

I tried KingoRoot and KingRoot. Both app said that rooting was succsesfull but it still says that my phone is not rooted even if i gave root access to all apps. I want to install several apps that need root to work so i can joke around with my friends. I know that rooting phone is a bad ideo but that is my old phone without a sim so i just want to find use for it. I remember rooting my old Gingerbread android(i think it was Samsung Galaxy mini) but accessing safe mode and doing some thing with super su but i was only 10 at the moment so i dont remember anything

Ask on XDA, but if you can try Magisk, since that can hide root from apps.

Yeah an android site would be your best bet..

But you could probably just use your phone for storage, or even a remote control, even as a remote camera for security, etc so on.
