ps1 game i have forgotten!

i played this game at a babysitter back in the late 90's. All i remember it was a young character in a forest that had a bamboo like stick as a weapon. it was on ps1 demo disk.

No, the gameplay from what i can remember is/was similar to ape escape. All i remember is that i played this game in the same year pokemon anime 1st aired here in north america... So 1997 if im correct.

I just found this and I'll search through the video, but this says 1997, and is a PS1 demo disc.

I think I'm starting to vaguely remember something like that as well, so now I'm curious.

By the way, what perspective is the game? Behind the character? I'm assuming yes since you said it was similar to Ape Escape, but I do want to make sure.
