What's up with parents destroying their child's electronics
Destroying an xbox, monitor screen, and a phone. Pretty pointless because look how much they paid on that stuff. Whether in our point of view it could be the child or parents throwing a tantrum. Some vids that I've seen are fake and most that I don't know if it's real. What do you think about this? Do you think you accept this behavior on the parent's side?

I think they do it as a form of shock therapy. I think it's too much.

I think more parents should do it because there are too many children on the internet.

Show your power
Assert dominance
Rule the house
Be the leader
(No I don't support parents destroying their kid's electronics because they could just donate them to me :/)
What a waste

I know it is an common way to punish kids by taken away their computer, mobile phone, game device etc...

But i never heard of parents actuely destroying it. It sounds like something an parent would only do when he / she lost their temper.

good job for the parents!
Parents pay for it anyways so they have a full right to destroy it. Behave or get put down to the ground

i've seen video's too but i don't think you're being a very good example for your kids if you destroy their stuff.

what kind of life lessons is that kid gonna learn from that? i can't think of anything good.
and i would certainly not love my parents more if they started destroying my belongings.

i hope most of these video's are fake...

It encourages unsocial behaviour though, just because you can do something doesn't mean you should, I know you Americans like to express every right that you have but it still doesn't mean you should do it.

My parents think everything I own is theirs. Even if I work an entire summer for it.
IF I FIND YOU PLAYING GAMES WHEN YOU SHOULD BE DOING YOUR HOMEWORK ILL DESTROY YOUR 1500 DOLLAR GAMING SETUP!

BUT I WORKED FOR IT!

ITS STILL MINE!

I WORKED FOR IT YOU PEICE OF ♥♥♥♥!!

meanwhile my dad is just watching me play fortnite as my mom is saying they make desisions together...

It's absolutely idiotic. Just take their stuff away for a while and promise to give it back once the kid has been on good behaviour for long enough.

I guess being a good and reasonable parent doesn't get you those sick Youtube views though. The viewers ain't gonna smash that subscribe button if you don't even smash those kids.

well, if they have brains they won't do it.

if you paid for it i see no reason you won't be able to go to the police if they do it.

but until then just make your homework. :P

Kinda stupid really. If you break it then you can't hold it hostage. And even if you want to get rid of it permanently, the smarter thing to do would be to sell it. Breaking stuff is just stupid period, no matter who you are.

Remember, you're gonna be old some day. Not a good idea to make your kids hate you if you don't want to end up shoved into an abusive nursing home when you're senile.
