Played some good flash games back on Newgrounds, Yoyo games, Agames, and so on years ago.

Wonder how many of those sites are still around and if Newgrounds is still good or got overtaken by current trends....

Finally someone mentioned Armorgames. That website was a beauty of design, and now it's all minimalist. I'm not sure if they're switching over to unity or not.

I feel like Flash will stay with us for a little longer than 2020. I'm pretty sure every person that's attended school since the birth of Flash has played Flash games at some point, and I willing to bet that kids still play them today. I'm sure there are people out there who are willing to go the distance to archive as many flash games as possible or find a way to have Flash work on browsers after it "dies".

As someone in highschool I can confirm that I have seen kids playing flash games, I even played N a bit in the beggining of the school year, stopped at school because it didn't save my progress, stopped at home because it got too hard, lol

Anyone know what XGen is?

I just remembered something. Shogun 2 advertises using Flash. WTF was it doing in a AAA game released in 2011 (as someone said before in this thread, 2010 was well after people realised Flash's days were starting to get numbered)?

So, since Flash is going out the door, will Java (applet) games make a comeback?
Enriquez 21. feb. 2018 kl. 22:12
Used to play those old stickman games in newgrounds.

HTML5 and Unity will most likely take the throne. Java (from what I've heard) isn't very good for making games.

I guess you could say...

...it was over in a Flash.

*badum-tish*

I'll leave now.
