Serious question, do you know ANYONE who actually bought WinRar?
''Please note that WinRar is not free software. After a 40 day trial period you must either buy a license or remove it from your computer''

I don't know about you, but i doubt i would even think of buying it if i was richest person on earth. What's the point? Am i missing something here?

The average home user does not need to purchase it as the contract doesn't apply to them.

I would never pay money for something when I know there are other (free) solutions.

Good question.. I mean.. What does the paid version actually do? I mean, I'd assume it allows you to compress files so you can upload them?

I watched a video explaining how the infinite time trial was was part of the bussines plan of the company

I don't have any problems with it though, i just don't see the point of buying it.

You can do that on the phone for free. I haven't tried that out on computer yet.

I have had the same WInRar program forever. The 30-45 day trial expired ages ago. But it still lets me extract compressed files. Why pay any money when it still works?

If you work in Corporate you would know that companies are not allowed to use Freewares.

I thought about buying it, but it's $20+.

I bought it. since I'm using for works that generate profit. 20usd will not hurt me and still cheaper than my newest game 40-60usd/game
