Any1 else can't stand Marge from Simpsons? I hate Marge Simpson character!

I'm binge watching Simpsons few days now from season 1. I'm on 25th season now and she's just more and more unbearable!

Almost every scene with her, she just whine, ♥♥♥♥♥, criticize, killing fun for everyone, trying to force her preferences and brainwash any1 that she doesn't agree with and generally being annoying as ♥♥♥♥, braindead, hypocritical, and narrowminded to the point of causing incredible irritation! Living in own decent house, not having to work, she's constant martyr about her oh so hard life! Many other things, but I don't want to go into too deep. Just wish she weren't there at all.

I'm often on the verge of just turning it off and deleting it, don't know if I'll manage to finish watching it to 28th solely because of her. I'm not christian anymore but even Ned Flanders is likable, and Lisa's moralizing and ♥♥♥♥♥ing isn't as bad as Marges horrible character! And that voice doesn't help.

Seriously, Once I'm done, I never gona rewatch this show again, mainly cause of her. Show in general is mediocre anyway. I feel like I'm wasting my time. Already watching it at 120% speed.

Share ur thoughts or if u have other characters that u hate more. And don't flame at me if u don't agree, I really don't care.

Talking won't do any good here. Yes, in fact my mother was like that and even worse. it was 20years of pure hell. But I'm not writing it because of that. Trying to get entertainment out of that show and her character ruins it.

Marge is a product of the patriarchy. I'm trying to say that as unironically as possible, which is hard for me. Especially since she was seemingly raised in an all-female household. (What's the deal with Marge's father? I do not recall...)

I mean, Lisa has to get her smarts from somewhere, and it ain't Homer. Yet Marge insists on playing dumb to "let the men take care of it".

I do think that her life does have difficulty. She has a LOT on her plate when you consider the "mental load" of the household. Homer, as a simpleton, can't handle any of the mental load beyond the most basic of instructions. She's the one who secretly keeps everything running smoothly.

She's got a good head on her shoulders that comes out when it has to. She's also highly capable of doing anything she sets her mind to.

nobody expects you to love or hate her, she is overgeneralisation of '' stereotypical sitcom mother, and "long-suffering wife" who puts up with the antics of her children and her oafish husband'' (wikipedia).

I get that shes necessary, but I want comedy in comedy show, not drama of suffering housewife. There are other shows about that. Somehow Loise from Family Guy or Francine from American Dad aren't as annoying, even though they take similar roles in shows.

That's the point of her character, she's a mediator. If the whole show was just Bart and Homer being dumbasses then the show would get unfunny quickly.

Oh wait, that's basically the whole of the Simpsons past season 10.
