Most overrated weapons in games?

Personally, I thought the Automatico M1918 was not really great in Battlefield 1.

Lugers are great sporting handguns, compared to other pieces of the period. The precision machining, hair trigger and 55* grip make them accurate and reliable, and the 8-round mag was outstanding for the time. But they're not some kind of immortal, godlike Nazi handgun and they certainly don't match anything made after 1950.

As a military weapon, they were a flop. They were cripplingly expensive to produce and the Hair Trigger gave them an infamous tendency to go off when dropped or handled clumsily. There's a scene in Band of Brothers where a soldier accidentally shoot himself with a captured Luger - from what I've read that did happen quite often. Again, thanks to that hair trigger.

The Military Sniper in L4D2 has really bad running accuracy and honestly isn't that good except for certain crescendo events but people still pick it up a lot.

AKs are overrated.

Yea sure, they are tough as nails and powerful, but they are weapons made for the type of wars that doesn't exist nowadays. They are a ♥♥♥♥♥ to handle, customization is limited, and almost every service weapon has the durability (if not better) of the AK.The reason why 3rd world countries still use them is because they are cheap as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and they are absolutely everywhere.

Luckily, I managed to enjoy using it, all thanks to its incredibly fast burst-fire mode. Unfortunately, when it comes to gun fight in BF4, it will definitely get defeated by more powerful guns such as M416, SCAR-H and MG4.

I'd say they are overrated but they are still good rifles. It's just that people worship them like they're the best gun that ever existed.

The AN94 is hilariously broken in STALKER. I put a scope on a fully upgraded one and it's like having a burst fire sniper rifle with no recoil that uses the common 5.45 round. I didn't even need to use armor piercing rounds except for exoskeleton enemies because of how easy it was to land multiple headshots.

Seriously, the number of snipers I had accusing me of hacking because I was being a cheeky ♥♥♥♥ with the AN94 with a 7x scope is hilarious.

HK416 is the pinnacle of AR-15s.
