There's no shortage of 2D indies and old titles than run just fine on integrated graphics.

what kind of intel hd graphics are you talking about?

MHRD
TIS-100

Not much graphics in these games for a computer to deal with.

Any game from 2012 or before can support Intel HD (probably).

Games I recommend:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/620/Portal_2/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/12120/Grand_Theft_Auto_San_Andreas/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/730/CounterStrike_Global_Offensive/
(if it doesn't run well try counter strike: source)
https://store.steampowered.com/app/220/HalfLife_2/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/440/Team_Fortress_2/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/49520/Borderlands_2/
(depends on what kind of intel hd graphics you have.)
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4000/Garrys_Mod/

If you're wondering why there is so many valve games it's because these games run well on low-spec hardware.

Don't forget the old school fallout games, those were a blast to play through (Tactics was meh imo). Fallout 3 and New Vegas also run pretty good on Intel HD graphics as well.

Pretty much this.

Some of the newer integrated chipsets are better than older conventional dedicated graphics....

Anything from the late 90's or early 00's should work fine. I remember playing through United Offensive on my old Dell laptop when I first had Steam.
