Any "Rise through the ranks" games?
Hey there, I'm looking for games that lets you "rise in ranks". The kind of game that lets you start from the very bottom, like a recruit or a squire, something along the lines, then slowly grow to become a high ranking officer, a king, god, etc. I want something with an in-game ranking system, where I start out as a nobody, a lowlife, then slowly get respected through quests and achievements.

Feel free to recommend any games that seems suitable, thank you!

The Guild 2: Renaissance

You start as a nobody and can eventually become a noble, and if you choose to join politics you can become Emperor or some ♥♥♥♥. (I forget what the highest rank in politics is, it depends on the town size.)

Thanks! I'll check them out.

Mobile games and other non-steam games are also welcomed!

If you don't mind playing something really outdated, Gothic is a classic RPG that fits your description almost perfectly. You start out as a nobody, you're fodder and everybody will just walk all over you, but later once you get powerful they'll take you seriously and have their tails between their legs

Crusader Kings 2 is kind of a game you are looking for:

You play the familiy instead of a single person. You can begin as count and rise (conquer, assasinate, marry, etc). The game ends when your bloodline ends.

While you play someone who has lost considerable power, when you start you are weak and vulnerable and not only will you have to slowly rise and power but also in rank with one of the factions you can join.

I'd also recommend CK2. You can start as a lowly Count and through military conquest, assassination, seduction, or utilization of religious mechanics, you can rise from a Count to a King, or even an Emperor. Count is about as low as you can get though, whereas Emperor is the highest you can get. Your initial character might not get the rise in rank, but his or her son / daughter might, and so forth. You really play as a Dynasty of characters in CK2, witch each new heir inheriting your older characters primary holdings and lands.

Ace Combat 7. You start as a newbie, end up in a penal unit, work your way out and grow to be the best pilot of the war the game is based on. It’s short, but really, really good.
Wow 2018 necro somebody check the OP pulse for signs of life? From zero to hero with back patting NCP feedback?

Dragon Age Inquisition from suspected major terrorist to world saviour.

Kingdom Come Deliverance not played much. Seems that type of rise through the ranks system. NPC react badly if you are even smelly and dirty.
