Fallout vs Stalker

Hello guys i would like to do some survey of which of the two is great in different ways. I mean i played fallout and it was fun , saw some little videos about stalker but i found it scary its like open world outlast, anyways im planning to buy stalker if i'm able , but first i want to see what you guys can tell about fallout and stalker.

On a sidenote. Fallout is more of a RPG/FPS mix while STALKER leans more towards Open World FPS.

The only scary thing about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is the ammount of work you'll need to do in order for the game to run without crashing every few minutes. I HIGHLY recommend reading the PCGamingWiki prior to playing the game.

Regarding gameplay I'd say Fallout is a winner mainly because of the variety of playstyles (both in its FPS and isometric styles) it offers over S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s.

AI wise they're both awful in their own way however S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is borderline infuriating with the ammount of autoaim they have as I've had occasions in which I got shot in the head through a wall and without alerting the enemy. Also, playing on any difficulty lower than the highest will cause some of your shots to deal next to no damage for some reason so it's recommended to start with the highest difficulty straight away.

Theme wise it depends on the person's tastes. I quite like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s depressing atmosphere over Fallout's.

Not for me it wasn't. I needed to use over fifteen fixes for the game to be relatively stable and that's WITHOUT mods that add content.

To me the most stable one was Clear Sky and even then it was still a pain to fix.

Yeah iunno CoP pretty much worked out of the box for me. It still crashed but rarely. YMMV I guess.

That's one of the reasons why S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is so janky. The crashes are so inconsistent as well.

I've only played SoC a fair way into the story (idk how long it is) and I haven't had a single issue, if you can believe that. I like it more than fallout, too.

STALKER is better imo. Most of my playtime in bethesda games is trying to get them to work.

Heard mainly good things about Stalker, barely any about Fallout lol
