Suggest me an anime.

I was watching a random anime this morning until I realized how much I hate the forced cutesy and comedy in most anime nowadays.What would you recommend for anime that take itself seriously but not too cheesy?
I liked Evangelion, Re;Zero, Steins;Gate and 91 Days.

Does anyone know of the series called Betterman? That was shown on Anime Unleashed on a TV network called G4 long ago.

I only know it's apparently set in the same universe as King of Braves GaoGaiGar, but much darker and less awesome.

Well you probably watched it but just in case, watch DBZ Kai. Kai has better dubbing and more accurate to the manga. Though sometimes I prefer the music in the original Z dub.

But iam not the expert anime watcher. Most things are too childish for me i cannot watch that long.

Only "new" thing i saw till the end was
Terror in tokio. Wasnt that bad. And onepunshman was great
