Yes, that's how free trials work...you get one month free, and then if you don't cancel before that free trial is over, you get charged. But this isn't a free trial; it's a free month. It won't auto-renew unless you're all ready a member.
Im assuming by CC you mean credit card details. I dont have them on the site either but like my post before this. they can get you another way by not cancelling it.
I can only hope the non recurring part means it wont be renewed.
Either way im not pressing on this start playing or upgrade a game you already own in your library as then i can say take me to court as you cant demonstrate i made any attempt to take part.

EA can claim out of the goodness of their heart all they like, they are still trying to get you to become a regular member other wise like developers of steam, they could just as easily had a button on every game giving you a chance to play for free, no membership temp or otherwise commitment.
I wasn't debating on why they were doing the free month. All I was doing was pointing out that it won't auto-renew.
