Ehm, no. The other people eating the same way. You don't need to feel uncomfortable, absolutly no reason for that.
And when you're at a fancy restaurant, you're wearing your nicer clothes, and risking getting food on them. It's a very weird dynamic.
I feel uncomfortable seeing me finish my food before everyone else while speaking with coworkers at lunch.
It should be a pleasurable experience for everyone. I don’t know where people get the notion that it is embarrassing to eat in front of other people. Almost any eating establishment has seating to eat with others.
I have too many other reasons to have people judge me to worry about what they think about me eating.
I wouldn't worry about it.
I have pretty bad social anxiety, I can't really talk to people, or even look at them.
But I don't care what they think of me at the same time...
It's really strange.
And yeah, I was bullied too, still 'hyper alert' so to speak, I just call it awareness of surroundings. But I don't really second guess a lot of my actions, I'll look back on it and go 'well that was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid of me', but I didn't care that I actually did it, or worry about doing it again.
Thus I don't eat all that much.
