Opinions on TVFilthyFrank2
By this point most of Joji's old fanbase has seen some spin-off channels on YouTube emerging, most of them being heavily inspired by George's work under Filthy Frank persona. The original fanbase had to accept the fact that George left his Frank days behind to become a musician, thus leaving a huge gap in YouTube community, which nowadays consists mostly of PC content and "safe" videos. I believe a lot of channels started emerging at the time of his career jump but they never gained traction, until TVFilthyFrank2 decided to give his shot at impersonating Frank. Those familiar with his uploads for the past month seem to respond positively to his content, mostly due to the fact his voice is almost spot on. While his content is not mature enough to be on par with George's stuff, I believe if we continue to support this guy we might get a true spiritual successor to the original. George's legacy is something we, the old fanbase, treasure in great memory, and the fact that it's up to a new individual to build upon this foundation is not an easy task - one wrong joke could ruin this guy's attempt. While I can only wish for George's Frank to come back, this might very well be the next chapter in Filthy Frank saga. Something like James Bond, where the core idea persists through multiple iterations, each played by a different actor. This means that there's a "general" fan base which likes the idea of Filthy Frank, divided in smaller groups which like different actors portraying the character's role.

I'd like to know what other long time followers of Frank think about this new take on George's character, is it going to become something great like the original or is it going to fade in obscurity over time...

And you continue with the traffic leeching. If you don't want to argue any of the actual points being discussed, why are you even bothering? Or do you lack the attention span to read past my first sentence of each post?

I probably should spit up my messages or use @username separators... The entire post isn't fully directed to you, rather the topic owner as well.
Why not just quote people separately? When you quote someone directly, it's implied that you're only responding to them unless stated otherwise.

I agree, been up all night watching the Eta Aquarids meteor shower here in New Zealand and it slipped my mind, till you mentioned it and duh click in my head.
This is one heated debate over a character.

Would you please calm down and stop pretending you're God's messenger and everything you say is automatically correct - just because YOU said it.

Frank is a character Joji started back in his high school years just for fun with his friends, there was no "secret message of stupidity" in any shape or form, that's just something you as a viewer could have interpreted in such way. His videos did evolve from there to include references to popular culture, but it was still mocking and parody.

He made fun of Soundcloud rappers and edgy sad music, yet in the end he became just that. Go figure.
Actually, all of you trying to make everyone call him Joji because its his real name and "iTs rEsPecTfUL", well you are wrong too, his real name is George, Joji is a nickname he uses much like his character frank.

You mention: "there was no secret message of stupidity in any shape or form" ... "but it was still mocking and parody" ... so what's the difference?

I was just saying it's dark satire, which by definition is taking something negative like a stereotype or behaviour, and pushing it to the extremes it become stupidity to mock it. So yeah mocking and parody.

Actually no, he never became a Soundcloud rapper nor made edgy music, he started producing original music that actually had meaning to him (unlike Soundcloud rappers who sing about drugs, bicthes and money, And those edgy artists who scream about how their life sucks and how they are sad etc etc.) and got singed up to a new and up-coming music label who saw talent in what he was doing.

The way you described his content is as if had depth and messages while it was blatantly visible on the surface what his motivation was to do a video...

His music videos make sense when put with the lyrics, he isnt simply rapping about ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and money etc. In his music video when he has the girls around him, he is singing about love, and the pains of it, he doesnt say some ♥♥♥♥ like "i get hella bicthes yeee".

Edit: i should probably give a better example here, for example on his song "yeah right", the whole video isnt just girls dancing around him all sexy, its him being sad and felt numb (in a sense) by all of the senseless "love".

I'ma ♥♥♥♥ up my life
I'ma ♥♥♥♥ up my life
We gon' party all night
She don't care if I die

This line shows it perfectly, he is with a girl who wants nothing long-term, she is there for the sex and the fun, but he is bored of doing this constantly and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up his life with it all.
