Windows XP is the best OS?
Most tech still running on it to this day. Even modern tech is made specifically to the Windows XP. It's still quite popular OS in many countries as well. Not to mention a lot of people are still making new updates to it despite it being abandoned by Microsoft and "no longer supported" by them.

But I'd say Windows 7 is good too.

If you want more complaints, there's the mobile-fication of a desktop operating system, the numerous updates that have managed to break systems, ads in the gutted start menu, another worthless "personal assistant" thing, and horrible backwards-compatibility, off the top of my head.
Those are valid complaints.
If you're concerned about being "spied" on however, your only option is to not use computers in general.
You can, at least, limit how much information you give away, and to how many companies. To that end, it's good to avoid win10, since at least 7's infinitely more limited telemetry can be disabled without it turning back on or new telemetry being added.

Right now I am posting by talking to my phone oh, I can turn on my television and game consoles by telling them to turn on then telling a device on my counter to order me a pizza which I can pay 4 directly from said device, and I can search the web by asking my tablet in case I need a walkthrough for something.

I don't mind them keeping an eye on what I'm doing. It's part of my agreement to use their service. I know what they're doing and quite frankly I don't care. It's not an invasion of privacy if I invite them in. And Windows 10 is actually pretty great. I have had less problems than I had even with seven.

Companies? It's only the Microsoft Data Management Service that stores your data on a secure cloud and it's only Microsoft personnel that have access to it

To disable Windows 10 Telemetry Go to Services and Applications -> Services in the left pane. In the services list, disable the following services:

Diagnostics Tracking Service
dmwappushsvc

Or

Connected User Experiences and Telemetry service" instead of "Diagnostics Tracking Service" if your Windows 10 version is newer than 1151.

Yeah, almost every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ service out there now datamines the hell out of you. Steam's pretty bad, anything google is absolutely atrocious, including chrome and android, amazon, any social media, windows with win10, I wouldn't doubt apple does it too although I avoid apple products like the plague for other reasons so I've never checked. By sticking with 7, you can at least not have microsoft on top of the pile.

And win10's telemetry is only the peak of the iceberg there.

Not had any major problems with Windows 10, actually I can't off the top of my head think of a minor problem I've had with it. It's the fastest and most stable Windows OS I've ever used.

Sorry if my experience offends anyone.

A process which is simpler and doesn't reenable itself while also collecting less should it be enabled, yes.

Great, you disabled one aspect of win10's tracking. Next you need to go into the group policy editor/registry to disable cortana, turn off all the location crap, turn off everything in the privacy settings, and so on, apparently. Probably have to uninstall some updates you installed as well.

Already did this a long time ago(pretty much first day installing Win10), and I know which updates I have installed most of them are security patches, and you also have to check your updates for ones that collect data, I can tell you which updates collect data on Windows 7?

All in all, not too horrible tbh, especially given its relative age. I don't know why you have such an obsessive focus on the telemetry, when I already pointed out that there's far more than just telemetry on win10, and you can't get rid of it without editing your registry.

Well there's disabling telemetry and Cortana on Windows 10 so there isn't really anything else that you can point out that I might be worth getting rid of

I was just pointing out that Windows 7 gathers telemetry data too, I didn't know you were aware of that and about the updates that contained telemetry gathering

Because I don't use it for a whole slew of reasons, as I said. There's not been any need for me to look into all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you have to disable, since I've got 7 in a good state. I've seen quite large lists of things to disable for win10, and that was early on. 10 obviously collects far more information, since they gave it away for free for quite a while. Not out of the goodness of their hearts, but because the consumer became the product to be sold.

I'd still rather get windows 10 for free than have to buy windows 7, and then just do 3 simple steps to disable telemetry services and Cortana then I have a newer more up-to-date OS, and I don't really care about your reasons for hating windows 10 (for no reason)
