Why are multiplayer games toxic, specifically?
Why are a lot of popular online multiplayer games toxic? what are the societal factors and reasons that contribute to toxic behaviour from players such as hacking, griefing, cursing, racism and so forth? and how can we change gaming culture to be more positive and mature?

This will probably be flagged as abuse/spam by someone and get you banned.
I should be alright, this isn't the CS:GO or TF2 forum.
Gods grace be with you :P

People who are very invested in competitive online games and spend large chunks of their time in those environments are unlikely to have very fulfilling lives. There is a chance that they are "compensating" for perceived lack of success in real life, for not being who they want to be. So if you mix a lot of dissatisfied, insecure, unhappy people with anonymity and lack of real consequences, you can end up with a pretty poisonous atmosphere.

There is also the issue with game design that fosters and encourages competition (social too) and comparison, and a very keen sense of people being what they have and not who they are. Everyone is essentially a competitor for what is perceived a limited resource, and this gets even more pronounced if you are forced to play with other people (who are just means to an end) and these people get in the way of your success (because they make mistakes, don't carry you, etc.). And it's easier to blame others.

All of this brings out the worst in people. Yeah, the argument could be made that real life is no different in terms of competition (I believe it is different), but it's not as measurable. You're not losing 100 score points and drop down on a ranking list if your friend doesn't perform as you wish they did, like you do in a competitive online game.

Its also fault of youtubers such as pyrocinical, jameski other hundreds of these kind of channels too

Mostly people who watch them are kids and these youtubers (while playing with each other) understandment of comedy is -killing each other -saying racial slurs -loud laughing and kids love that becuase they think its savage and tough and so they act like that too
This is a ridiculous claim too. YouTube is not that old compared to online or even local multiplayer.

I didnt said its only their fault there is many other things
