Best Buy Return Policy
Whats up everyone? So recently i had an issue with my gaming mouse, Im a fan of Corsair so all my peripherals are Corsair.

I did some research and tried to find a mouse that would fit all my needs, mainly gaming. So i went into my local Best Buy store and i bought the mouse. When i got home and connected it, the mouse did NOT work. So i brought it back for the same one. After using the mouse for about one week, i decided that the mouse wasn't as comfortable as i would have liked and i returned it.

When i returned it to Best Buy (with the receipt and within the exchange period) they told me that i would not be allowed to return it...I WAS SHOCKED. So after battling with the sales associate for a good 20 minutes the store manager finally arrived. I explained the story to the manager and against all odds, he exchanged it for me.

After the transaction was completed a little small receipt printed up and told me i would not be allowed to rerun any items to the store for ONE YEAR. It gave me a number to call of a third party company. I called the number and they told me i had too many returns. I explained to the lady on the phone that the first mouse was DEFECTIVE and the second mouse was returned by choice because i did not like it.

When you make a purchase in the store, the sales associates always make it a point to tell you that you have 14 days to return it if you do not like it. (i am en ELITE member might i add) so i have 30 days.

Also i would like to add that in Best Buy not all of the mice are out to feel. So how do you know if you like it until you get home and give it a test run. Would you buy a product like a Gaming Mouse without knowing if it will be comfortable for a long gaming session?

Has anyone experienced any issues like this with their shopping experiences and if so please feel free to clue me in.

Thanks All!

I have never tired a mouse before I bought one or returned one after purchase. The gamble you run with new hardware.

But I consider "I didn't like the feel of it" pretty weak for a refund excuse and would have also said no. But in AU you wouldn't be able to use that as a reason anyway.

No i 100% understand that, but they claim you can return it if youre not satisfied within the return policy. Then they turn around and act like you're committing a crime

I think a mouse would fall under "computer parts" which BB says no returns on open box items.

who still shops at best buy? Only time I go there is to take a look at something i'm thinking about buying on amazon.
