Is it normal to feel sad after graduating high school?
I just graduated high school while giving out a heartfelt speech, in which all my friends began to cry after. I felt sad not because of the speech I gave out, but me remembering everyone I knew from the school, leave and live their own life.

It’s weird spending just 1.5 years in that high school (i did previously transferred), only to realize that I have lots of friends who were there for me. I’m gonna miss just seeing some of them. Most were awesome people, we had tons of fun. Did you guys had that same feeling?

No, not really. Everyone seemed to go their own separate ways and forgot about each other after my graduation, outside of the few groups of people here or there that were close friends.
I get the distinct impression that your school wasn't in LA.
I mainly miss the facility itself and some of the good teachers and administrators.
Everyone else was a gangster(bussed in person from that bad part of town) and I was the only Duddley Doright.
Oh, I remember the people... but its more a feeling of disappointment, but relief that I don't have to deal with their shenanigans ever again.
All individuals, be it callous or loving, wise or foolish, logical or emotional, and most importantly, inward or outward in reach, feel sadness and grief when they have to let go of something pure and great. We are social creatures, and seeing all of the great things of our past shrivel and die in our very eyes truly breaks even the most resilient of hearts, but there is no time for caution and worry, for eventually, those great things, those wonderful memories with them, shall be brought back to life, at least temporarily; after all, a memory doesn't stay dead unless no one remembers it anymore. :cozyjunimogreen:
I did at the time, but that was 15 years ago and I don't see/ speak to anyone I went to school with now.

High school is neither pure nor great. I was glad I was finally done with that crap.
you might see some of your friends again
Well I’m glad I don’t have to deal with High school drama anymore.

So is mine, but doesn't change my outlook to potentialities. :cozyjunimogreen:
College drama is more intense and entertaining.
It depends on the person. I didn't feel sad because barely had friends and I didn't really enjoy high school. However after that since I don't go to college, I sometimes do miss meeting or talking with people.:znoire:

They were crying because you cost them another 10 minutes of having to stay in high school.

Inside they were just like: "When Lord? When will this end? Why won't he just let us leave and live our lives? Why, oh why?!"

Lmao
Yes. Its very normal. Before you know it you will have a spouse, demanding job and 2 toddlers.. Also next week you have to visit aunt Fanny for her 40 year birthday... Ohh.. damn I forgot to read half the students papers and I also forgot to clean up after dinner..
I felt nothing leaving school and that was the last time I saw or heard from my friends. I'm not being Edgy McEdgerton here, I just really hated school by the end, my school friends were little more than colleagues, they meant nothing to me outside school hours.
Try stay in touch with some of them.

You might even get a school reunion later on in life.

However, what you are actually feeling is the factor of change. It's an unknown factor, which can scare some/most people. Change can be good however, embrace some new experiences.
