They're not wrong though. Seeing how the film so well recognized, it will automatically be the most hated. Generally speaking.
But there may be horror films that are even more recognized. For example, Frankenstein or Dracula. Which was a book first. But the story has been around longer, so it's more known. Generally speaking.
Or some of the more anchient horror stories. But you must dig deep for that. A lot of books and transcripts now used for religious purposes also contain horror stories, I think.
Or folklore, they must be even more widely hated, because they're more well known throughout the planet's populace.

Of course, that's completely beside the point you are making. Because everyone loves those stories.
Anyway, that's my train of thought.

just silly, thats like saying star wars was one of the worst sci-fi movies made, or exorcist the worst horror movies. etc. The Thing was magnificent, amazing effects, amazing scary, and a amazing monster.

And that's why I don't listen to critics no matter who they are..... I decide for myself, always have.
