Metroid Prime in the first Metroid Prime.

I had to give up on the game for a few weeks because it was frustrating me.

The Defiled Watchdog of the Old Lords from Bloodborne. Defiled means your HP is cut in half, and it took me well over a month to beat him, even with help from NPC summons

Lol, and the Watchdogs were always the easiest boss for me, after those three fat dudes that are regular enemies elsewhere, the Watchers or whatever they're called. The hardest ones for me are the Bloodletting Beasts third form, and that one boss that does the limb-stretching zoom punch, but I don't remember what he's called.

It's a tie between two bosses of Hollow Knight: Nightmare King Grimm, and The Radiance.

Each one took me around 4 hours to defeat.

Pretty much all of the bosses in Bloodborne.
I've finished Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3 but that game kicked my ass over and over and i didn't like it as much as Dark Souls.

I think it was Bowser from a custom Super Mario World game (Super Mario World: Bean World Crisis). It was more the level that was killing me, than the actual boss lol

I have a couple, but in most recent memory. Definitely Frank Horrigan - Fallout 2. No other boss nearly makes me wet my pants. You can have top tier power armor, the best laser weaponry in the game, enough psycho to turn yourself into the Hulk and ol Franky can still one-shot you. Good luck if you don't deal with the turrets and Granite Squad. Oh and you have to do the fight in 10 minutes or less or wind up taking a nap with a nuclear explosion.
